Are You Ready For Some Foootballlll...Commercials?
When you could give a damn about the game… (what? the Falcons didn’t make it? what? favre or a manning did not make it? what? brady had an infection?) watch the commercials.
The game started off better than the commercials. The touchdown being taken away (his knee was down, the ball had not crossed the line). The commercials didn’t get too interesting until Conan O’Brien’s Bud Light commercial, which had him doing this weird Swedish commercial that ended up being played in the US, much to Conan’s consternation.
I was pretty excited to see what looks like Lost’s Anna Lucia in the Fast and Furious trailer. I am unsure if I am excited to see Vin Diesel and Paul Walker.
So far, the commercials are not looking good. The game is far outshining the commercials this year. Can it be that the game will be exciting?
Did anyone else catch that Cromartie is playing in the Super Bowl for the Cardinals? Sarah Connor Chronicle fans, take notice.
Ahhh, Cardinals didn’t make it to the end zone so they have to punt, but the E*Trade commercial was pretty funny.
You go Cheetos. I’m buying some of you tonight. Pigeons indeed.
Getting 3-D glasses ready after that awesome (but sucks for me) play. And the verdict? 3-D commercials sucked.
Yes, I’m excited about Race to Witch Mountain. I enjoy revisiting nostalgia.
What a great game! Even though I didn’t care who won, I was the sole Cardinals rooter in our party and I have to say, I had a lot of fun. I’m sorry the commercials didn’t live up to it, but maybe football is trying to get it’s swagger back.

well, at least the meager commercial response this year will give my favorite comedian, Lewis Black, some material for a new bit!

oh, he doesn’t need a reason. but it’s so much funnier when he’s honing something like the superbowl to a fine point.
The Audi commercial had style, the hate your job commercial was good, and the snow globe commercial pulled on some pretty base reactions, but got a chuckle from the crowd I was with. The game was pretty great, #92 on the Steelers ruined it for me, I dont care what the outcome, but a huge last second comeback should be clean, and you don’t get to stay in the game after punching your opponent repeatedly. It didn’t feel clean to me. And by and large, the commercials sucked.
